My Mam, My Best Friend.
Mam was born into a family of 9 children in Cheshire in 1929.
She was born on 7th July (the 7th month) and was the 7th child in her family.
She had a hard but happy childhood with no running water or electric in her home.
Mam met dad via a Pen Pal network, he was a miner in Northumberland.
They met for the first time under the clock at the Central Station in Newcastle.
Mam cared for lots of people during her life, Dad,s sister had died leaving her husband and two small children. It was Mam who cared for them, Then Dad's mam took ill then Dads stepdad it was Mam who cared for them both.
Then 3 Foster children came along and 3 of her own. What a mother she was to us.
When Dad took ill it was Mam who cared for him.
A fantastic daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mam and nana was she.
So loved and she will never be forgotten ever.
Hand in hand with Dad now an everlasting love
