The RNLI saves lives at sea.

William McGregor

Picture of William McGregor.

William was a very proud Scot – often wearing a McGregor tartan kilt at highland games weddings, cattle shows and social functions. He and Joyce spent many holidays travelling the length and breadth of Scotland. He was a keen card player and also loved trivial pursuit but wasn’t to pleased when he lost ha ha. William loved working in the garden and even in his 86th year was still planting his tomatoes, growing vegetables and mowing his lawn.

For his age he was very active and still drove his car into Perth to do his grocery shopping and also walked regularly to the local shops

In the evening he liked nothing better than sitting in front of the TV watching old films, detective programmes and sport – with a tin of sweets nearby.
