The RNLI saves lives at sea.

Harry was a wonderful husband to Jean and a devoted father to Michelle & Allison.

While he was actually my uncle by marriage, he was always more like a big brother to me from before I was a teen. He was my guitar teacher, my driving instructor, my maths tutor, my debate opponent, a fierce competitor in any game we played and always my friend. I will miss him a lot.

I will miss the stories about his life because he always had such a memory for details. I will miss the arguments we used to have (we both knew we were wrong in our arguments...but that was half the fun) and I will miss his constant desire to help everyone around him.

Looking back, Harry was always there to help at the most important times of my life. He was there to take us all out somewhere interesting on a boring Sunday afternoon, he was there to lend me one of his guitars when I was 12 and wanted to learn to play (but couldn't afford a guitar) and he was there to drive me to my first day at university when I was accepted at the last minute & had no transport.

He was there more times than I can probably remember! I am sure that is true for lots of people! He was a great friend to lots of us and a willing helper to many, many others.

I am sad Harry is gone but I am so happy he was in my life. I am sure there are so many other people that feel that way.

Harry always respected the RNLI because people not only gave time and money but also put their lives at risk for others in this cause.

I hope you will join me in donating on Harry's behalf.
