Peter was born in 1948 in Liverpool to Fred and Jean, the eldest of four children the others being brother Bill and two sisters, Frin and Fran. He lived in Caldy in the Wirral until his twenties then moved first to Brighton where he was a Housemaster at the Grammar School and met his wife Barbara, and then to Cumnor House Prep School. After a few years and following a move to Cornwall he joined a small architectural ironmongery business, "Jebs Supplies", which he subsequently bought in partnership with a colleague. One of his passions which he shared with Barbara was motor racing and he bought and made a Westfield kit car entering in several local hillclimb events. Sadly he developed cancer and passed away peacefully at Mt. Edgecumbe Hospice in July 2004 and is greatly missed.
