The RNLI saves lives at sea.

Martyn Gray

Also known as: Wally.

Martyn was the nicest, most generous and loving person you could wish to meet. There wasn't a bad bone in him. We had so many hopes and dreams and he'd just been granted a wish - the gift of a son, a brother to our 5 year old daughter who Martyn adored. He was so proud of the children even though he didn't have very long with them. He was always upbeat, never worried about anything, would help anyone and would give you his last penny even if it meant him going without. Even his final act was one of love - for our soppy black Labrador who he tried to rescue- unfortunately they both died together. We miss him dreadfully - he had so much to live for but never got to realise any of his ambitions
