The RNLI saves lives at sea.

Jean Christie

This is in memory of my mum Jean Christie (nee Cartledge) 1918-2009.

She was born and raised in the sound of the waves in Hull and Bridlington and never strayed far from the sea her whole life. She instilled a love of the sea in her family and we always visited the lifeboat stations when we took our holidays on the east coast in Yorkshire. She told us stories of hearing the maroons go when she lived at the coast and how she always sent out a prayer for everyones safe return.

At her funeral we collected money for the RNLI as we knew she would have wanted them to benefit.

Mum was loved and cherished and this is in her memory.
