The RNLI saves lives at sea.

Norman Harrison

My dad Norman passed away what seems like yesterday 17 March 1994, missed and thought of every day. He was my pal as well as a loving dad, we used to go fishing, walking in the Lake District (which he loved with a passion). When I was young he look me motorbike scrambling, formula one racing & even taught me to shoot ( he was a gunnery instructor in the forces). I think he wanted a boy ha ha!!!
He loved his three grandsons Paul, Alex & Robert with all his heart & I know that he will be watching over them every day. My mum was his soul mate & misses him still, she thinks of the times they used to go dancing at Ashton Baths & they spent many an hour in the Lakes strolling up & down the mountains (even in the winter!). Many people will remember him as the postmaster who was always muttering to himself when paying out, mum spent many an hour coughing to cover up his comments, he even served in his shorts & trainers, no suit for my dad. He was ill for a long time & never complained, people were shocked when he passed away as they didnt know he was sick. His spirit & love will be shining down on all his beloved family every minute of every day. He is missed & loved by us all but we know we will meet again eventually.
