Gary was a wonderful person and he loved anything to do with the Sea.
Gary loved Scuba Diving and was very keen on passing on his knowledge to others.
Gary was also involved with Sea Cadets and was a keen member for 16 years. During his time in Sea Cadets he took on the role as National Chief Diver and helped to train many Sea Cadets during his time.
During Gary's time in Sea Cadets he also loved any activities involving the water whether this was sailing or even fixing the boats.
Gary also loved working with rope and was always making key rings and knot boards for people.
Gary also loved working with canvass and making bags to store many of his diving things.
Gary was always very keen to Support the RNLI and would always go into every RNLI shop when on holiday and donating money.
Gary loved cooking and trained as a qualified chef on the Queen Mary and Cunnard Line whilst in the Merchant Navy.
When Gary was younger he was also a member of his local scout group and loved going camping and walking with them.
Gary loved being in the sun and always enjoyed his holidays whether these were aboard or in the UK in his caravan on a campsite near the Sea.
Later on in his life Gary starting taking Surfing lessons in Cornwall and still kept falling off no matter how many times he practiced. However Gary still went ahead and brought himself a surf board but after that time the surf was never enough for Gary to go out in the Sea during his Holiday weeks.
Gary was due to start taking up fishing with his family as another hobby but sadly he passed away before he could achieve it.
Gary leaves his Wife Carol and three children Jason, Michelle and Jodie.
Gary will be sadly missed by all his family and friends but they will also be able to remember him as an active person and the activities that he participated in.
