Those Commemorated By The RNLI Memorial

Picture of Those commemorated by the RNLI memorial .

This page commemorates all those remembered by the RNLI memorial, which remembers past sacrifice to inspire future generations.

Many brave and selfless RNLI volunteers are remembered proudly in their local communities. However, this is the first single memorial that celebrates and names the 750-plus crew members and others who have died while going to the aid of those in need.

The memorial is located at RNLI Headquarters in Poole, Dorset opposite The Lifeboat College where future generations of lifesavers will train. RNLI volunteers, staff and members of the public will be able to contemplate the extraordinary self sacrifice of the many people involved with the charity.
