Roy Norgrove MBE

In memory of Roy Norgrove, who died on August 10th 2007 at the age of 81, after a tragic road accident near his home in Alreston.

Roy was a retired civil servant, who devoted his life after retirement to raising funds for the RNLI, mainly through his Jewellery Appeal. Roy would appeal for unwanted jewellery, e.g. rings, watches, bracelets, etc, and raised over £600,000 for the RNLI Lifeboat Appeal.

He leaves behind wife Doreen, brother Michael and sister Yvonne, and his nieces and nephews.

Sadly missed.
