Mark Piper
Also known as: Captain Pipes.

My lovely Captain Pipes was a passionate sailor who loved nothing more than to share his boat and his expertise with his friends. He developed his love of sailing after the novelty of power boats wore off and the extra challenge of sailing, along with the far broader possibilities in terms of destinations and distance captured his imagination. He sailied all over the world and developed a love for both the BVI's and the eastern med, particularly Croatia. He never ever sailied without 'Admiral Tedster', his trusty good luck Bear, who apparently taught him everything he knew! Mark's real love was night sailing, about which he wrote numerous articles he was hoping to have published. Sadly he passed away suddenly on 10.11.07 before this could happen. He had huge respect for the RNLI and had made a number of donations over previous years. I know he would be very happy that rather than send flowers to his funeral, friends and family have made donations to RNLI instead. He was deeply loved and will will desperately missed.
