The RNLI saves lives at sea.

RICHARD EDWARD PERRY

Also known as: Affectionately known as Rich by all his family and friends.

Picture of RICHARD EDWARD PERRY.

Richard was our lovely Son and Brother who tragically lost his life whilst on holiday on The Isle of Wight in July 07. Richard had gone on holiday with a group of friends, Rich and a female member of the party had taken his inflatable RIB from Bembridge Ledge on what was reported to be a very calm afternoon, out to have a look at the war ship HMS Severn which was anchored at Sandown Bay. They are thought to have fallen overboard, for what reason I don't think we will ever know, the boat was in perfect working order, they were both very good swimmers, we can only imagine they were knocked unconscious by hitting the water. Richard is desperately missed by his mom, dad, sister, brother-in-law and also his new baby niece Ellie who he will never know. Richard was just 28, a very talented engineer working on the new Airbus A380 at the time of his death,he had worked so hard to get where he was and his life had only just begun, he had so much living left to do, its so unfair he was greatly loved and respected by so many friends and family. Rich was such a kind, generous person always ready to help out family and friends. We had so much fun on family occasions and his absence will be greatly missed at future gatherings. Our lives have been shattered,he has left a huge void. All that is left to say is rest in peace dear Rich and thanks for being our beautiful Son and brother as we loved you in life we will never forget you in death.
Mom, Dad, Rebecca, Stuart and Ellie xxxx.
