The RNLI saves lives at sea.

It’s funny you don’t appreciate something until its gone and to think we will never hear that ‘Fred Flintstone Chuckle’ again or see that massive Morris smile is truly heartbreaking.

Morris had an infectious happiness that spread to everyone he met, a sense of fun that has given us memories too many to list and energy levels few could keep up with.

He was fantastic with all children so this is a particularly cruel blow to Ellie, Katie and Oscar who have all been short changed of the most loving, caring but above all fun granddad that they could possibly have had.

Carol, there were so many good times we have had over the years with Morris and you that they really are too many to list.

Kathy and I are just so pleased we have had two lovely weekends with you during the past year where we had some real quality time together to relive old memories and talk about the changes in our lives since the last time we met – I know we have done a lot but there was never any ‘keeping up with the Phelans’ selling a business, jet setting off here and there with Magnacutter, producing products for sale on The Shopping Channel, vintage car rallies - you both packed in so much!

It’s funny we feel cheated out of losing a good friend but when we think about what Morris has done, someone else could have lived to 150 and not worked through that list!
