HELEN MARY CARTER.07/08/1911---10/03/2007.
My Mother,Helen Mary Carter passed away on March 10th 2007,she was 95.
MUM spent the first 73 years of her life in Acton,West London. As well as working in factory jobs and a laundrette she spent many years looking after children. She often had several children to look after at the same time. She would play with them, feed them and help them with their early learning. At the local school,Berrymede she was called 'Nanny Carter' by all the children. We moved to Greenford when she was 73,where she soon made many new friends. She loved her little house and garden. She also loved to fly and visited North America five times,up until she was almost 90 years old. I served in the Merchant Navy in my younger days, and have a great respect for all the RNLI do.
My mother shared this respect and asked that all money collected was donated to RNLI.I miss her being here every day.She is missed by her daughters'Mary and Anne and Her man grand children, great grand children, and great, great grandchildren,as well as many other family members' and friends. Her passing was very peaceful, and the service was beautiful with all the Hymns and music she had asked for.
