The RNLI saves lives at sea.

Appreciation For Stanley Hicks By Rachel Rolfe

Farewell Uncle Stan, my most fond memory of you, if I was to pick just one would be when I was around 10 or 11 years old and we came to stay with you and Auntie Vi at Bradwell. We had been out driving around beautiful Somerset taking in the scenery, with the rolling steep hills and deep valleys and I noticed the sheep & cattle standing on these high steep hills and I remember asking you 'how do the sheep and cows stand up properly on these steep hills' and you looked me straight in the eye and most seriously you replied 'they've got telescopic legs' well you had me convinced!! almost ;o) Lots of love to you Uncle Stan, I always think of you when I see sheep, and this memory will stay with me forever & always makes me smile and is a clear today as the day I asked you x x I hope that when we leave this life to go on to the next we all meet again x x Biggest hugs to you x x
