The RNLI saves lives at sea.

Appreciation For John Robert Cooper By Stacey Ann Holmes

There are many times I remember when I was small,
I don't know where to start to try to list them all.
Times we went swimming and climbing trees,
Times I fell over and grazed both my knees.
Times we shared Laughter at ClumberPark,
Times I had nightmares well after dark.
All these times I can say with,
Were spent with you there by my side.

I remember the long hours you would spend mending cars,
I'm sure there'll be plenty of motors up there in the stars!
Grease, tools and spare parts were what made you tick,
No matter what the problem you always had the trick.
From Nissan to Ford and the odd Vauxall too,
Nothing would ever get the better of you.
Your talents were relentless and I'll certainly argue one thing,
That when it came to coffee making you definitely were the King!

You were a great uncle and I'm glad I was your niece,
And I'm happy in the knowledge that you are now at peace.
I also know that you would want everyone to be,
Thankfull of the happier times that we shared as a family,
I can hear you now telling us not to shed our tears,
But remember all the fun times that we had over the years,
I will remember them fondly even though you are gone,
And will always be grateful that you were my Uncle John.

Sleep well Uncle John, see you in dreamland xxxx
Love you, RIP
Stacey xxx
