Appreciation For Gary Wilson By Mike Freeman

Picture of 'Gary Wilson' provided by Mike Freeman

I was privileged to have had Gary as a good friend after we worked together throughout the 80s and 90s. We were particularly close when we worked together alongside Riche Coope at MTU Friedrichshafen Germany in the mid 90s.
I will always remember those days as being greatly enriched by the part that Gary played. We all 3 shared a real competitive spirit, be it at work, on the pool table or on the golf course. We also shared a few beers along the way. The infectious grin and cheery nature that Gary always had certainly made things feel better wherever we were.
I have come to realise over the past few months that I must be a pretty good judge of character. The proof being that each and everyone of those who knew Gary thought the same as me.
So sad to lose such a genuinely smashing bloke.
The photo shows Gary hard at work in 1996.
