The RNLI saves lives at sea.

Appreciation For Rona Bowman By Mike, Liz, David And Theresa Hudson

Rona Bowman.
Swimmer, Water Polo Player, Pool Attendant, Lifeguard. Guide, Sea Ranger, and Scout Leader. Member of the Discovery Service Crew, Dockland Scout Project, and Discovery Sailing Project. We were privileged to have shared many of these activities with her.
A person who at first you might think to be unassuming, she nevertheless exhibited a strength of character that belied this initial impression. She was someone who did not enter things lightly, but having considered, then gave her all.
Rona never stopped learning. Each time we met her she would always explain some new fact or method she had acquired. Equally she never stopped teaching. Blessed with great patience, she was able to pass on her considerable knowledge in a manner that people, both young and old, responded to.
A friend to all, and someone who enjoyed life rather than begrudged it, we are the better for having shared some of it with her.
Thank you Rona, may you rest in peace.
