Appreciation For Gail Smith By Royston Smith

As I sit here typing this, I know you already know my thoughts and that whatever I write, it is for those who remain behind to read, not you.
Your loss as my wife and the mother of our 4 wonderful children is an ache that is unrelenting. I miss you every moment of every day and night. I will never understand why this happened, never forget the wonderful life you made for me and the children, never forget the way you made everything special for me and for all who knew you. You gave to all and wanted nothing in return but to see them happy.
Heaven must be a better place now you are there. I am the better for having known you and had the privilege of loving you. I am still amazed by you, even now, after 21 years, 22 days, 2 hours and 57 minutes of being married to you.
Words can't say what I feel. I would do anything to have you here with me. I know that can't be, but I still want it. One day we will be together again. Until then, be at peace and know that you were loved and needed and wanted. 3 out of 3. You know what I mean, even if others don't.
I can't find the way to close this. I can't find the way to do anything since you were taken, truth be told. I shall just say it one more time, with feeling, I love you.
Yours, Always and Forever (I remembered, at last)
