The RNLI saves lives at sea.

Appreciation For Tom Moore By Geoff Moore

We sometimes forget the things that matter, like the warmth and closeness of those that were there as we grew. When I remember my Uncle Tom, the feelings I have are always of warmth and comfort and calm, quiet friendliness. I remember the curly wood shavings on his workshop floor, Saturday nights in Dalmorton Road and the walks on New Brighton prom.
Our family always seemed too small to make such distinctions, but even if there had been more to choose from, I still think that Tom would have been my favorite Uncle.
Such a quiet and unassuming man. I wish I'd known you better.
