Appreciation For Les Howell By Jeannie Howell

Picture of 'Les Howell' provided by Jeannie Howell

Always a welcoming smile, always a warm heart. Kind and charming, proud, loyal, and true. These are some of the words that come to mind when I think of Les.

I know he was a blessing to his wife, four sons, & six grandchildren, but I feel equally blessed to have been a daughter-in-law. In the nearly 15 years that I knew him, he always made me feel special and part of the family.

Often, now I think of all the fun times and "adventures" that we've all spent with him. Especially here in the states. Les was always one eager for the next adventure. He had a generous spirit and a fun sense of humour. A real zest for life. The special times that I was blessed to be a part of, will always warm my heart. I am thankful to God that my son, Richard, had him as his grandpa, and that he has special memories of "Papa" here in Texas and England with him. I only wish that Richard and I had been able to know him longer.

Thank you Les for being you and loving us.
