The RNLI saves lives at sea.

Appreciation For Jennifer Bush By Richard Mann

I worked with Jenny for eleven years at the RNLI. She joined as my PA before being promoted to a position where she had personal responsibility for looking after major contributors to the RNLI.
Jenny was an exceptional colleague - very fast and accurate in her work, always ready to help new staff and outstanding at forging relationships with the RNLI's regions and with other departments.

She was responsible for the most outstanding piece of secretarial work anyone has ever done for me. Stranded in another country with a major report I had to present the following morning that needed a complete re-write I 'phoned Jenny late in the evening at home. She immediately offered to go into the office early the following morning. Between 7.30 and 9.00 I dictated over the 'phone a new report which she touch typed. She then checked it and faxed it to me (this was before email). It was word perfect enabling me to photocopy it and present the report to the meeting at 10.00am. A combination of great technical skill and a willingness to help me out of a hole which I have never forgotten.

A true friend, may she rest in peace.
