Bob was in the RAF from 1959 to 1963, he trained as a fireman driver and drove trucks, fire, GP MK VI and VI A.K.128. Served in Aden, Isle of Man and Middleton St George. From what he told me he enjoyed his time in the RAF and had a good relationship with the chaps he worked with. Was a great family man and had 4 children 7 grandchildren and 1 greatgrand daughter. Worked in the Middle East for a number of years, in 1988 was diagnosed with MS which he did not let it get him down went out everyday in his wheelchair and looked after the home, he was very proud when our son Mark joined the RAF in 2001 and trained as and electrical mechanical engineer. We love and miss him every day.
