David Elvet Morris served in the RAF DURING WW2. He was stationed in St Eval Cornwall before being posted overseas to North Africa, Algiers,Tunis and Naples. From his war time experiences he felt he had to contribute towards the formation of the ATC at Ponthenri. The Mid Gwendraeth Squadron 2227 was born.

Last year 2010, Elvet was presented with an acknowledgement for 60 years of service for the ATC.

Elvet passed away very peacefully on the 12th July 2011.

At his funeral 20/7/11 the collection will be for the RAFBF.
