Interesting Facts: Born 7-12-19. Scion of banking family, Cambridge University Air Squadron. DFC 26-11-40. Shot down on sweep over France 20-9-41, evaded through Spain and Gibraltar. Arriving back in UK 9-12-41. Brother Charles Lieutenant, Royal Norfolk Regiment, Killed in Action "Norfolk Ridge", Kohima. Fighter Pilot (Humphrey Wynn 1976) is based on George Barclay's diaries.
