Stanley Duff

Also known as: 'Stan the Man' 'Uncle Stan'.

Send to a Friend

Stanley Duff was my Godfather but was always known to me as my uncle.
He was a great man in himself, kind to all, but to me, more than a man could ever be.
He joined the Royal Air Force during WW2 as a pilot & was the youngest Sqn Leader at this time as was told to me.
He was one of the main reasons that I joined the Royal Air Force myself, not as a pilot like he was, but as a Regiment Gunner.

I owe this man more than I could ever wish or have to give.
I am proud to say that Stanley was not only my Godfather, he was to me my uncle, but even more than that, he was my friend.
May you rest in peace forever, all my love, mike
