Clive Bowles

Send to a Friend

Clive served in the RAF during WWII on ground operations. He later went into Fleet Street as a Typesetter where he worked for most of his life until computerisation forced him to retire. He loved horses, foreign travel and dancing. He never married but had devoted his life to his brother's family, neices Jen and Val, his friends, and St Paul's Church in Wimbledon Park. In his 70's he abseiled down the side of a tall building to raise money for the church. He was also an active member of the RAFA, being a standard bearer at many important parades including the Cenotaph until ill health forced him to stop.
