It is with deep sadness that the family of Hugh inform his former colleagues in the RAF community of his death at Boston Hospital on June 16th, 2009.

Hugh began his career in 1937 as a Halton Apprentice and served in Iran, Irag, Ismalia, India, South Africa, Libya, Cyprus and the Falkland Islands.

Hugh served on the Victor Bomber at Radlett writing Air Pulbications for 2.5 years. Hugh served 20 years on the Vulcan V-bomber aicraft in various locations as a Crew Chief.

In 1967 Hugh was awarded the B.E.M. for services to the crown. His family were particularly proud of him for his accomplishment.

Hugh retired from the Air Force in 1976 and retrained as a Technical Author. He worked for several private firms until retiring to the Spalding area in 1989.

Hugh was pre-deceased by his wife Betty in 2007.

Hugh was a dedicated father, grandfather and great-grandfather and an exceptional man and human being who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
