Send to a Friend

My Dad passed away unexpectedly, after a full and active life, on 13 May 2009, aged 86 years.
He served in the RAF Bomber Command and Transport Command, as a wireless operator/air gunner, in England and Europe, India, Burma and Egypt from 1940 to 1950.
He met my mother Nita, whilst training in Manchester in 1941 and they were married on March 2 1943.
After leaving the RAF, my father worked as a marine insurance manager in Australia, South Africa and the UK until his retirement.
He always had a smile to brighten your day, made you feel good with warm words of praise, always had good stories to tell, was patient and kind and a great friend to all.
He will be sadly missed by by his wife of 66 years, his son, grandchildren and great grand children, family and the many friends he made all around the world.
