The Corps of Royal Engineers

(1918 - 2011)

Also known as: Bert.

Picture of Albert Halsall.

2143234 Bert went through the second world war in North Africa and beyond but never spoke too mutch about it. A good friend and neighbour as I, also, was a sapper in 9 independent parachute squadron Royal Engineers and in some ways empathised with him when we did talk "sapper" stuff.
