Greatly loved by his late wife Elizabeth Olwen (Betty) and sadly missed by his Sons Phil and Ady, Grandchildren, Claire and Joanne and Great Grandchildren Ethan, Lilie, Mia & Alisha and all their families in North Wales and Suffolk

John Adrian Barlow writes [19th November 2011]:

Sapper William (Bill) John George Barlow joined the 157th Railway Construction Company in November 1939.
He served with the BEF in France in 1940 and also in France, Belgium, Holland and Germany in 1944-46 with the 21st Army Group.
Whilst serving he received shrapnell wounds to his leg and neck but was fortunate enough to survive the war.
He married Elizabeth (Betty) Olwen Davies (of Llanddulas) on 6th September 1952, having two sons Philip (1955)and Adrian (1956).
