Old soldiers never die, they simply fade away, but not from our thoughts. Simple, yet fitting service held on the hottest day of the year! (sorry boys who carried Dad/Grandad). RE coffin drape,cap & wreath, England flag and BTP cap placed upon him. Norwich City scarf, Monte Cassino tie, policeman soft toy & Middlesex flag all placed inside (there was just enough room for dad!) It was remarkable how many family, friends & old soldiers who were able to attend.
