Frank Robert Kearns was born in fleetwood lancashire on the 21st of may 1934, his father had been a royal engineer during the first world war, his father was allso called frank.
Frank served during 1955 to 1957, spent time in osnabruck germany and went to the suez canal.
Frank had served his appreticeship as a stone mason as a young man and in 1959 emigrated to christchurch new zealand where he later married enid whittaker who had also emigrated from fleetwood, later they had three sons.
After thirty years he returned to england in 1989 and continued his trade until his retirement, frank passed away on the 24th of June 2011 at blackpool victoria hospital aged 77.
