Thomas Sands writes [28th June 2011]:

Sapper Thomas Edward Sands died peacefully in Leeds General Hospital on 23rd April aged 90 years. He leaves a wife Dorothy and 6 children. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather but above all he was a soldier.

He served with the Royal Engineers from 1940 t0 1949.
