My Dad was extremely proud to have served in the Royal Engineers during WWII, and learned many life skills from his experiences. I would like to thank Mike Nottage and Mick Payne from the Reading & West Berks Branch, for their visits to Dad, and giving him a new lease of life. He is sadly missed by me and my sister, Pat, and Dad's remaining sisters Joan and Ivy. Diane Ashmore writes [12th June 2010]:

The Royal Engineers Association was formed under the conditions of a Deed of Declaration of Trust by the amalgamation of the original Royal Engineers Association and the Royal Engineers Benevolent Fund Ltd on 19 November 1968.
