Added by: Lt Col Neil Jordan on 23 March 2010.
I first met George at the Scarborough Branch of the REA. I recall his smart turn out and his polite and friendly manner, in fact over he years I cannot recall an improper comment uttered or a bad word. George was a true gentlemen. I was saddened to hear of his passing and knowing how active he was in the Branch, first with its formation then with the constant upkeep, I know his loss is missed by his friends. Thank you for your words of advice George it was a privilage to have met you. Peter Ellis writes [4th March 2011]:
