My father won the Fowke medal in 1948 and later The Royal Engineers medal for passing out first in Order of Merit. He served in Cyprus and Germany as well as a number of locations in the UK. He was much loved and will be deeply missed by his wife Hazel, son Andrew and the rest of his family and friends Andrew Daughtry writes [1st February 2010]:
