Attending the Slade Trophy Meeting, from North Wales Branch, in the early 90s', at Potteries Branch (Stafford), David definitely was the most acute Scribbage partner I have ever had the pleasure of playing with.
It was my pleasure to meet Major David Breese Royal Engineers in his senior years. My mum and I took him to Beaumaris Remembrance Day. Sue Edmondson writes [26th April 2012]:
With such a droll look on his face we won, every hand! So - we took the prize. Yet, ever the gentleman, he sent me to collect it.
I only knew him in his later years but, I wish I'd known him in his younger days.
Sue Edmondson
Hon Branch Sec.
North Wales
David Hampson writes [7th June 2011]:
He taught me if you don’t use it, then you’ll loose it.
