The tragic accident at the Mari Bridge and Danny's passing was a cause for real upset in 42 Survey Engineer Regt, R.E. Not a year goes by that I remember Danny as I had the honour of being one of the pall bearers. Though not a personal friend, I knew Danny as being a lively individual and a good soldier, sadly missed.
