
2070275 Aged 88 Died in the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. A former member of the 2nd and 3rd Cheshire Field Sqn Royal Engineers. John served in Egypt, Greece and Crete before being wounded whilst in North Africa. He was hospitalised in Cairo prior to being evacuated in Durban to convalesce. Having recovered he returned to Alexandria before being deployed in the invasion and offensive in Italy. We have pictures from those days but no names except of the dog, Lady be good. He will be missed by his family. It would be good to hear from anyone who remembered John.
