The Corps of Royal Engineers

Staff Sgt Tommy Ball was a true gentleman and was an excellent SQMS when I was 2ic 112 Field Squadron. We shared a number of laughs in dark German and Danish forests on Exercise plus back in the Bangor & Belfast TA Centres. He also made things happen and you could be sure that everything that the Squadron needed was organised when Tommy was in charge & as a Young Officer, he also kept me "on the square"
I shall always remember his native Northern Irish wit. Quis separabit
