The RNLI saves lives at sea.

Appreciation For Those Commemorated By The RNLI Memorial By Colin Bower

As a crew member having served 35 years on the Lifeboats, I consider myself priveliged to have served the RNLI for that period without serious injury. It is a dangerous occupation, but with the high level of training now involved, those risks are thankfully reduced.
Those who gave their lives for the rescue of others are to be commended.
