Gail Walsh writes [3 April 2010]:

In memory of my dear husband, fondly remembered as Paddy to his friends. He was a very proud and dignified man and loved his family unconditionally. He had 3 sons he loved so strong and without preference. He would and did sacrifice much for them all at different times. He served proudly as a firefighter in Cirencester for many years and was proudly honoured by his collegues when he died. When I came out of the church my spirit was lifted with pride to see so many of the Cirencester firefighters standing proudly as a guard of honour to his memory alongside the gleaming fire tender. Thank you all for that special moment I will treasure for ever.He loved and respected you all and valued his time as part of a special team of elite men who saved many.He wastaken from us all too soon and will be sadly missed my so many and loved for ever.
