The Fire Fighters Charity

Also known as: Mamma Nora.

Mamma Nora sadly passed away on 2nd July 2008, for many years she had donated regularly to the Fire Service Benevolent Fund in thanks for the help and support she received herself. Nora’s late husband Leonard was a part time fire fighter himself (see photo in the gallery).
In her memory we have started this memorial along monthly donation to the service in her memory as she would have wished.

Nora was 87 when she passed away and we would like this memorial to continue as long as possible but at least till she would have be 100 years old
You gave us many years of happiness and you will be greatly missed, you are still loved and will not be forgotten. I have many great memories of the times we shared, your memories and stories you told and the photo’s that you shared with me.

Love Always

Every year, thousands of fire fighters are injured whilst protecting the public. Every 30 seconds in the UK, fire fighters are called to an incident, putting their lives on the line, and often sustaining physical injuries whilst carrying out their duties. The Fire Fighters Charity is here for fire fighters during their times of need, and assists thousands of individuals every year, by providing pioneering treatment and support services.
