My father lived in Bembridge with my father, Alec in Howgate Road. She used to help in the Lifeboat shop. She was also Treasurer of the Townswomen's Guild for a while.
In 2006 my parents moved to Wootton Bridge. Sadly she died in February 2009. She had been suffering from ill health. Neverthless her death was very sudden and unexpected and we all miss her.
My father really could not cope without my mum and he died on February 23rd this year.
My mother loved the work the lifeboats were doing. If anyone remembers my mum it would be lovely to hear from you.
